Acceptable file types: jpg, pdf, doc, docxTypes of ProofsOnce your file goes to the printer, you will get a proof before the final printing stage. Proofs are created to ensure that the client and printer are in complete agreement on the desired outcome before going to press. A soft proof is an electronic file, such as a PDF, created to simulate the appearance of the finished printed piece. It will be identical to the pdf you are currently approving. We provide a soft proof for every print project. Although this is the fastest and most economical option for proofing, it does not represent final colors, folds, or page order. If your project is more complicated, or if color accuracy is imperative for your project, you should request a physical printed sample known as a hard proof. This hard proof will be mailed to check folds, color, pagination, along with grammar and imagery layout. Once approved, it is sent back to the printer to reference at the time of printing. Please be aware that there is an extra charge for a hard proof, and it will increase the lead time of your project. While every effort is made to ensure your printing accuracy, Vivid Image can’t accept responsibility for color inconsistencies, folds, and pagination between supplied files and the printed result without a hard proof. PROOF CHOICE - I would like to move forward with the following type of proof.* Soft Proof Hard Proof (additional lead time & costs will be incurred) Since all computer monitors and devices display color differently, we cannot guarantee Soft Proof print colors will match colors viewed on-screen or when printed. For these reasons, we do not accept returns based on color nor do we accept returns for approved proof errors.
